7-14-11

Ian-Conrad Bergan, Inc. has been selected to supply the complete tank gauging system for the MLP project.

This is the third time that NASSCO has selected the Guard Level system for their MSC new-building project.

We are proud to support the Navy with the state of the art electro-pneumatic differential tank gauging system which is designed for long life and low maintenance.

The U.S. Navy has announced that construction has begun on the first of a new class of ship known as the Mobile Landing Platform (MLP). The MLP is designed to serve as a transfer point between large ships and small landing craft and act as a floating base for amphibious operations to allow for equipment and cargo to be delivered from ship to shore when there are no friendly bases available. Product Spotlight - Guard LevelŪ FMS - Fuel Management System. 11-28-10

We here at Ian-Conrad Bergan would like to introduce our newest advanced system, the Guard LevelŪ Fuel Management System. Designed to aid you, the customer; in monitoring and controlling the most expensive part of any marine tanker or tank barge operation, fuel consumption.

The Guard LevelŪ Fuel Management System is unique in the industry due to the lack of flowmeters in the engine fuel lines. This feature dramatically decreases cost and increases reliability onboard your industrial ship, tug, or work boat.

With such critical information displayed as fuel usage over time, fuel consumption per trip, and fuel consumption per mile. The Guard LevelŪ Fuel Management System also presents the user with such information as historical fuel consumption data, and an actively updated graph of engine fuel consumption. With the addition of day tank monitoring systems, the Guard LevelŪ Fuel Management System?s resolution will increase significantly.

The Guard LevelŪ Fuel Management System gives you the ability to remotely view accurate consumption of bunker fuel, prove the consumption of that fuel, and protect yourself from pilfering or shorting during the bunkering process. The Guard LevelŪ FMS will also keep your crew from dealing with messy and time consuming sounding tapes during day to day operations, saving your crew time and effort wile providing them with accurate, up to date sounding information.

With the addition of a net book and wireless vessel network, the user may take readings from the system from any network covered point on the vessel. Coupled with a provided GPS system, this will allow the Guard LevelŪ Fuel Management System to display fuel consumption per-trip not by simple point to point calculations, but by actual vessel distance traveled.

We here at Ian-Conrad Bergan strive for constant innovation, and with the introduction of the Guard LevelŪ Fuel Management System we have taken vessel fuel management to a whole new level.

USNS Washington Chambers (T-AKE 11) Commissioning report 10-03-10

General Dynamics NASSCO, San Diego, California, and Ian-Conrad Bergan, Inc. Marine Services completed the installation of our Guard LevelŪ Marine tank gauging and overfill protection system. USNS Washington Chambers (T-AKE 11) is the eleventh ship in the Lewis and Clark line of dry cargo/ammunition ships. Designed to operate independently for extended periods at sea while providing underway replenishment services, the T-AKE will directly contribute to the ability of the Navy to maintain a forward presence. These ships will provide logistic lift from sources of supply either in port or at sea and will transfer cargo that includes ammunition, food, fuel, repair parts, and expendable supplies and material to station ships and other naval warfare forces at sea. The T-AKE will replace the aging T-AE ammunition ships and T-AFS combat stores ships that are nearing the end of their service lives.

We here at Ian-Conrad Bergan, Inc. Are proud to outfit the cutting edge of marine sealift ships with the cutting edge in tank level indication systems. The same technology we provide to the tank barge industry day in and day out.

The T-AKE series of ships have been outfitted with our Guard LevelŪ Cargo Monitoring and Tank Level Indication System. The system is interfaced with the vessel MCCS and the vessel loading calculator Running Cargomax. this vessel was also outfitted with our Guard LevelŪ CargoRadarŪ, MKII Overfill alarms, Guard LevelŪ HPT-2 sensors for draft measurement, and HPT-2/HPT-3 sensors for fuel tanks, ballast tanks, and other auxiliary tanks. The USNS Washington Chambers also has five Guard LevelŪ Multifunction Deck Displays located in fuel and pump spaces and in the engine room.

The USNS Washington Chambers was successfully launched on the 11th of September, and is currently preparing for sea trials before its inception to active duty.

Each unit also comes with a built-in, lighted, deck mounted LCD screen, allowing tank innage/ullage to be read day or night, in metric or standard units.

The CargoRadarŪ Microwave Level Gauge. system is a vast improvement over other companies ultra sonic tank level detection systems. By using RADAR, the system is able to easily see through product foaming and vapors to detect the actual product level.
